XR Platform & Equipment Rental

Before accessing the XR Platform or using any related equipment, users must accept the Terms of Use, which outline the legal framework for immersive application development within the Saint-Gobain ecosystem.

Key Highlights:

  • Access is restricted to authorized users via secure login (SSO/Okta).
  • Use is strictly professional and intended for internal business purposes.
  • Prohibited actions include reverse engineering, unauthorized sharing, and misuse of the platform or equipment.
  • Intellectual Property: Applications developed on the platform are transferred to the affiliate, with usage rights granted to GDI.
  • Liability: Users are responsible for any misuse or damage to the platform or equipment.
  • Rental: Equipment is available for short-term professional use, with conditions regarding duration, return, and maintenance.

 

🤝 Legal Framework for Working with External Agencies

When collaborating with third-party agencies to develop XR applications, a clear legal and contractual framework ensures secure, compliant, and high-quality delivery.

Key Legal Safeguards:

  • Confidentiality: All exchanges and deliverables are protected by strict confidentiality obligations, including NDAs and data protection clauses.
  • Intellectual Property:
    • The agency retains rights to its pre-existing tools and methods.
    • All newly developed assets (code, documentation, applications) are fully transferred to the client upon delivery.
  • Licensing: The agency is granted a limited right to use the XR development framework solely for the purpose of delivering the contracted services.
  • Compliance & Security: Agencies must comply with Saint-Gobain’s security policies, GDPR, and other applicable regulations.
  • Service Commitments: Deliverables are subject to formal acceptance procedures, and timelines are binding.
  • Subcontracting: Any subcontracting requires prior written approval and must comply with the same obligations.
  • Data Protection: Personal data processed during the project is governed by a dedicated Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
