Immersense
Immersense is a guided immersive experience, to present the benefits of the Saint-Gobain multi-comfort approach, using a multi-user virtual environment dedicated to University Hospital.
4 different spaces – Hospitalization room, Corridor and waiting room, Restaurant and Classroom – have been designed to welcome multi comfort scenarios.
This rooms’ list has been judged sufficient to address both Health and Education segments. The challenges to be met were in the implementation of attractive and non redundant scenarios between these rooms.
Scenarios have been defined in each room to showcase the benefits of SG solutions for Visual Comfort, Acoustic Comfort, Thermal Comfort and Indoor Air Quality.
These experiences are essentially based on comparisons of configurations, allowing to make participants feel the benefits bought by the configuration change:
- modification of the visual rendering of the room for demonstrations linked to visual comfort, highlited by simulation results display for daylight autonomy for example.
- the acoustic reproduction of the sound environment induced by each solution for insulation or absorption, thanks to spatialized sound restitution.
Thermal comfort and IAQ are “visualized” by means of specific visual representation or animations.

Immersense demonstrations to serve prescription approach
The Immersense VR experience is operated by Saint-Gobain Solutions France since March 2022 in its prescription approach, on specific events and when meeting key account customers like Hospital Engineers.
The immersive experience uses current high-end and affordable virtual reality technologies: Meta Quest 2 VR headsets and Böse 700 headphones. No controller for participants to let their hands free, only the guide uses a controller for ergonomics reasons.
